DESCRIPTION:Blue Hill Public Library Card Design Contest\n\nThe Blue Hill 
 Public Library is looking for a new limited edition library card design\, 
 and we need your help. We are asking the Blue Hill Peninsula community to 
 create a new library card. How will this work? Any library card holder (or 
 child of a card holder) can submit an original design/artwork for the 
 library card\, and BHPL staff will judge all submissions before making a 
 final decision. New cards will be available for Library Card Month in 
 September. Design a library card following the template and instructions\, 
 and submit it to the library. The contest opens August 1 and submissions 
 will be accepted until August 21\, 2024.  Contest guidelines and terms are 
 below. The template can be found in paper form at the library\, or as a PDF 
 in this calendar entry or by emailing Assistant Director Kayleigh Thomas at 
 kayleigh.thomas@bhpl.net. \n\nContest Guidelines\n\n\n	Anyone with a valid 
 BHPL card can enter. \n	One entry per person. \n	Artwork must be 
 human-made\, original\, and cannot violate or infringe upon copyrighted 
 material.\n	The design may be edited to conform to the library card 
 specifications\, and our logo may be used or added to the design. \n	Design 
 content must be appropriate for all ages. \n	Submissions must follow the 
 dimensions included on the Card Design Template.\n	One winner will be 
 selected by library staff based on originality\, design\, and 
 interpretation of the theme\, which is ‘The Blue Hill Peninsula’. 
 \n	Contest runs from August 1 to August 21\, 2024. No late submissions will 
 be accepted.\n	Designs must be completed on the paper form\, and turned in 
 to the library by closing time on August 21\, 2024. \n	The winning entry 
 and runners-up will be asked to provide their original artwork and will be 
 contacted with further submission instructions. If the original artwork is 
 not available\, the entry will be disqualified.\n\n\nTerms and 
 Conditions\n\nI certify that the design submitted is my own/ child’s 
 artwork and property and is completely original and does not violate any 
 copyright laws. I permit the Blue Hill Public Library to use the content of 
 this form\, including creative work and visual images\, for the library 
 card process. This includes reformatting content\, but is limited to 
 resizing and adding text content to meet the needs of the library card 
 process. All information must be completed or the application will not be 
 accepted for judging. BHPL staff and immediate family are ineligible to
