Youth Chess Club In-Person
Kids of all ages are invited to come play chess on the library lawn on Thursdays at 3 PM starting on September 16. Brooksville resident Tom Batt and Blue Hill resident Woody Petry will be on hand to teach beginners how to play chess, while more experienced players can jump right in and play. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.
Tom Batt is an English professor at Maine Maritime Academy and a chess enthusiast. The library will provide chessboards, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
