Teen Career Talk: Law Enforcement with the Maine State Police

Teen Career Talk: Law Enforcement with the Maine State Police Online

The Blue Hill Public Library will host an online program with Maine State Trooper Travis Chapman on Monday, November 23 at 6pm. Trooper Chapman will be discussing his job in Law Enforcement and the path he took to get there in an effort to inform young adults who may have aspirations of working in this field. He will be going over the pros and cons of attending a college criminal justice program, the basics for being hired by a law enforcement agency and what the day to day as a State Trooper looks like. He will also be taking and answering questions as much as the time allows.

Maine State Trooper Travis Chapman was hired by the Maine State Police in 2015 after graduating from Beal College with a degree in Criminal Justice. He covers the Hancock county area, is a certified drug recognition expert and is also part of the Maine State Tactical Team.
