Superhero Art Contest Begins!

Superhero Art Contest Begins!

Calling kids of all ages!  You are invited to participate in a Superhero Art Contest hosted by the Blue Hill Public Library.  Participants will create a superhero for a town on the Blue Hill Peninsula with a name, special powers and an artistic rendition of that original character. For example, some library staff came up with the Penobscot Pathfinder, a hero who helps those who have lost their way or BrookLIGHTNING, a superhero from Brooksville who can travel at the speed of light! You can be as creative in your rendition as possible. If there’s a specific mode of art that you prefer, go for it!

The contest will begin on October 1 and we will be accepting submissions until October 31, after which our panel of esteemed judges will select a winner from each school. These winners will receive a gift certificate to Blue Hill Books!  To submit your artwork, email it, or a picture of it, to claire.malina@bhpl.net or mail it to:
