The Blue Hill Public Library will present a reading, Q&A, and book signing with local author and researcher Nomar Slevik, for his new book In the Pines: True Stories of Mystery, Mayhem, and Monsters in Maine on Thursday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the library's Howard Room. 

The book is an exploration of the unexplained encounters that everyday Mainers have faced. Crop circles, spontaneous human combustion, alien visits, and more, all from a state with picturesque views and quaint little towns. Come hear more about the hidden dark side of the Pine Tree State.

Nomar Slevik is an independent creator, writer, researcher and investigator in numerous aspects of the paranormal. He delights in sharing stories through different mediums such as books, documentaries, and podcasts. He has been fascinated by all things paranormal since childhood, beginning with a UFO encounter in Northern Maine at four years old. His life's passion has been to research, investigate, write, and share otherworldly events from everyday people in a manner that underscores the very human element in profoundly strange encounters.
