Paint the Peninsula Fresh Paint Auction In-Person
Paint the Peninsula is back! Stop by the library to see this extensive collection of “fresh paint” works celebrating the Blue Hill Peninsula–over a hundred works will be on display, and up for auction online.
Home to some of the most iconic landscapes in the state, the peninsula will be rendered in paint, pencil, and pastel by 90 local artists, whose works will be auctioned during Paint the Peninsula week (July 14 to 19) as a fundraiser for the library. Artists have a single day to complete each work. All bidding will be online at www.fundraiser.support/BHPLptp2025 and works can be viewed online and in-person at the library during library hours.
This exhibition is a celebration of both the area and the artists who live here. It is rare to have so many artists—from young, emerging talent to some of the region’s most celebrated painters—participating in a single event. Opening bids range from $50-$600, making Paint the Peninsula Week a great opportunity to start buying local art or to add to an established collection. All sales support both the Blue Hill Library’s operating budget and the local artists.
