Medicinal Plant Walk with Mo Katz-Christy In-Person
Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a meander through Blue Hill on Tuesday July 15 at 3PM to meet local plants and explore their medicinal uses! Part of the Robert B. and Linda K. Slaven Lecture Series, we will explore weeds and cultivated plants, trees, and shrubs, and have lots of space for questions and conversation in this interactive program. Bring a notebook if you like, and meet us at the library parking lot. Registration is required for this event, please do so using the library's interactive web calendar.
Mo Katz-Christy (they/them) is a queer Ashkenazi Jewish herbalist born and raised in Cambridge, MA on unceded Massachusett land. They approach herbalism by connecting folks to the knowledge they already have about their body and herbs through working with kitchen medicine, ancestral traditions, and mulberries falling on the sidewalk!
Mo graduated from a three-year clinical herbalism program at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in 2022. They work one-on-one with clients to address the root imbalances that are causing dysregulation and to build long-term healing. You can find out more about their work at mokatzchristy.com.
The Robert K. & Linda B. Slaven Lecture Series seeks to bring distinguished speakers with expertise in a wide array of subjects to Blue Hill to share their knowledge on topics of importance to the community and the world. It is supported by a generous gift from the Anahata Foundation. This program is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Olivia Zubrowski at oliviaz@bhpl.net or call the library at 374-5515.
