Nocturnal Nature

Nocturnal Nature In-Person

Kids ages 5 and up are invited to a fun interactive program about nocturnal animals on Wednesday, May 7 from 3:30-4:30 PM.  Join Leah from 4-H and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension to explore the fascinating world of nocturnal animals and their unique adaptations.  Through an interactive game, fun craft, and hands-on activities, we'll discover how creatures of the night use their senses and special abilities to thrive in the dark.  Participants will craft their own snowy owl as a keepsake of the wild adventure!

UMaine Cooperative Extension is your doorway to University of Maine expertise. For over 100 years, they've been putting university research to work in homes, businesses, farms, and communities — in every corner of Maine. Their educational efforts focus on the Maine Food System and Positive Youth Development through 4-H programs with a focus on the STEM disciplines. They are part of the nationwide Cooperative Extension System, which works through the land-grant universities in each U.S. state.
