Solar Eclipse Viewing Party & Talk

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party & Talk In-Person

The library is sponsoring a solar eclipse talk and viewing party on Monday, April 8 at 2:30PM in the library's Howard Room. Join the library and Don Ferrell from Penobscot Valley Star Gazers to learn about the science behind a solar eclipse, and then follow us out to the lawn to view the cosmic event in real time! On April 8, a total solar eclipse will pass over North America, including parts of Maine. Blue Hill is not in the path of totality, but will still experience a partial solar eclipse.

This program is free and open to all. Everyone who attends will receive a pair of eclipse viewing glasses, donated by Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries. For more information, please email Kayleigh at kayleigh.thomas@bhpl.net or call the library at 374-5515.
