Fun with Opera In-Person
The Blue Hill Public Library is sponsoring a talk on Opera with Surry resident John Curtis on Monday April 22 at 3PM on the library's Howard Room.
Fun with Opera is a 70-minute video mix with 20 over-the-top performances by Jonas Kaufmann, Natalie Dessay, Rolando Villazon, Montserrat Caballe and others, with music by Verdi, Bellini, Donizetti, Offenbach, Puccini, Rossini, Delibes and Gounod.
The event is hosted by John Curtis and is designed to gratify both opera aficionados and newcomers who are curious about the genre.
