Teen Graphic Novel Book Club In-Person
Teens and Tweens are invited to join Teen Services Librarian Kendall Chapman on the last Wednesday of each month for the Teen Graphic Novel Book Club. For the April meeting we are reading Hoops by Matt Tavares and will meet to discuss on Wednesday, April 24 at 3:30 PM in the library's Howard Room.
"It is 1975 in Indiana, and the Wilkins Regional High School girls’ basketball team is in their rookie season. Despite being undefeated, they practice at night in the elementary school and play to empty bleachers. Unlike the boys’ team, the Lady Bears have no buses to deliver them to away games and no uniforms, much less a laundry service."
Snacks will be provided and, if time allows, we will do an activity related to the book.
