Boat America: Responsible Boating

Boat America: Responsible Boating In-Person

The Blue Hill Library and US Coast Guard Auxiliary are cosponsoring the Boat America course on responsible boating, on Saturday May 13 and Saturday May 20 at 9am in the library's Howard Room.

The Boat America Cousre will present boaters with information on boats and maintenance, tips on how to be a more courteous boat operator, laws and regulations that must be followed, and how to make a boating experience safer and more comfortable.

The course is free and open to all, however space is limited, so registration is required and can be done through the library's online interactive calendar. There is an optional text book available for purchase.

This course satisfies Maine law beginning in 2024 for inland boaters born after 12/1999.
